Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
मेघपादनिभैः पादैः प्रक्रान्तमिव सर्वतः ।
जृम्भमाणमिवाकाशे शिखरैरभ्रमालिभिः ।
।

Meghapādanibhaiḥ pādaiḥ prakrāntamiva sarvataḥ । Jṛmbhamāṇamivākāśe śikharairabhramālibhiḥ । । ॥5-56-16॥
Translation
With its foothills looking like clouds, it seemed to be stepping out in all directions; and with its peaks adorned with garlands of clouds, it appeared to be yawning or stretching into the sky.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बादलों के समान दिखने वाले अपने निचले भागों (तलहटी) से वह ऐसा लगता था मानो सब ओर चलने को तैयार हो (या चल रहा हो)। और बादलों की माला पहने हुए अपने शिखरों से ऐसा लगता था मानो वह आकाश में जंभाई (अंगड़ाई) ले रहा हो।
English Commentary
The dynamic personification concludes here. The foothills (Padas, which also means feet/legs) resemble clouds in their vastness and shape, giving the illusion that the mountain is striding forth or stepping out in all directions. Meanwhile, the uppermost peaks, wreathed in garlands of clouds, reach high into the sky. This vertical stretch is poetically described as Jrimbhamanam—yawning or stretching one's limbs after waking up. The mountain is depicted not as a static geological formation, but as a colossal entity stretching upwards and stepping outwards, dominating the space.

पर्वत की विशालता को एक गतिशील रूप दिया गया है। पर्वत के 'पाद' (foothills) बादलों जैसे विशाल और विस्तृत हैं, जिन्हें देखकर लगता है कि पर्वत स्थिर नहीं है, बल्कि चारों दिशाओं में डग भर रहा है (प्रक्रान्तम)। वहीं, ऊँची चोटियाँ आकाश को छू रही हैं और बादलों से घिरी हैं, जिसे देखकर कवि कल्पना करते हैं कि पर्वत 'जृम्भामाण' है—अर्थात वह आकाश में अंगड़ाई ले रहा है या जंभाई ले रहा है। यह उपमा पर्वत के आकार को एक जागते हुए विशालकाय दैत्य (Titan) जैसा बना देती है।
