अधिरूह्य ततो वीरः पर्वतं पवनात्मजः ।
ददर्श सागरं भीमं मीनोरगनिषेवितम् ।
।
॥५-५६-२४॥
Adhirūhya tato vīraḥ parvataṃ pavanātmajaḥ । Dadarśa sāgaraṃ bhīmaṃ mīnoraganiṣevitam । । ॥5-56-24॥
Translation
Then, having climbed the mountain, the hero, son of the Wind God, looked at the terrible ocean inhabited by fishes and serpents.

तदनन्तर, पर्वत पर चढ़कर वीर पवनपुत्र हनुमान ने उस भयानक समुद्र को देखा जो मगरमच्छों और साँपों से भरा हुआ था।
English Commentary
Before the leap, there is a moment of assessment. Hanuman gazes at the obstacle ahead. The ocean is described as Bhimam (terrible or awe-inspiring) and infested with dangerous marine life. This highlights the magnitude of the feat he is about to perform. Despite the terrifying nature of the barrier, the epithet Vira (Hero) assures the reader of his readiness to conquer it.

छलांग लगाने से पहले हनुमान जी लक्ष्य का संधान (survey) करते हैं। समुद्र को 'भीम' (डरावना/विशाल) कहा गया है। उसमें 'मीन' (मत्स्य) और 'उरग' (जलसर्प) भरे पड़े हैं। यह दर्शाता है कि वापसी की राह आसान नहीं है। लेकिन हनुमान जी को 'वीर' और 'पवनात्मज' कहा गया है, जिसका अर्थ है कि वायु के समान वेग और वीर का साहस होने के कारण उन्हें इस भयानक दृश्य से कोई भय नहीं है।
