स तदा पीडितस्तेन कपिना पर्वतोत्तमः ।
ररास सह तैर्भूतैः प्रविशन् वसुधातलम् ।
कम्पमानैश्च शिखरैः पतद्भिरपि च द्रुमैः ।

॥५-५६-२६॥
Sa tadā pīḍitastena kapinā parvatottamaḥ । Rarāsa saha tairbhūtaiḥ praviśan vasudhātalam । Kampamānaiśca śikharaiḥ patadbhirapi ca drumaiḥ । । ॥5-56-26॥
Translation
Pressed down by that monkey, the excellent mountain roared along with its creatures as it sank into the earth surface, with its peaks trembling and trees falling.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस समय उन वानर (हनुमान) द्वारा दबाया गया वह श्रेष्ठ पर्वत, अपने कांपते हुए शिखरों और गिरते हुए वृक्षों के साथ, पृथ्वी के भीतर धंसता हुआ उन प्राणियों सहित चिल्ला उठा (भयंकर शब्द करने लगा)।
English Commentary
The reaction to Hanuman's launch is catastrophic for the mountain. It begins to sink into the earth (Pravishan vasudhatalam) under the immense pressure. The anthropomorphism continues as the mountain is said to 'roar' (Rarasa)—a combination of the grinding rocks and the cries of the terrified animals (Bhutai). The trembling peaks and falling trees add to the chaos, visualizing the transfer of energy from Hanuman's legs to the mountain structure.

हनुमान जी के पैरों के दबाव का परिणाम देखिए। पर्वत केवल टूटा नहीं, बल्कि वह ज़मीन के अंदर धंसने (sinking) लगा। 'ररास' शब्द का प्रयोग हुआ है, जिसका अर्थ है 'चिल्लाया' या 'भयंकर आवाज़ की'। कवि कल्पना करते हैं कि पत्थरों के टूटने की आवाज़ पर्वत की चीख है। यह दृश्य प्रलय जैसा है जहाँ स्थिर पर्वत भी गतिमान होकर पाताल की ओर जा रहा है।
