तस्योरुवेगोन्मथिताः पादपाः पुष्पशालिनः ।
निपेतुर्भूतले रुग्णाः शक्रायुधहता इव ।
।
॥५-५६-२७॥
Tasyoruvegonmathitāḥ pādapāḥ puṣpaśālinaḥ । Nipeturbhūtale rugṇāḥ śakrāyudhahatā iva । । ॥5-56-27॥
Translation
Trees laden with flowers, churned up by the force/speed of his thighs, fell broken onto the ground as if struck by Indra's thunderbolt.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उनकी जांघों के वेग से मथे गए (झकझोरे गए) फूलों वाले वृक्ष टूटकर पृथ्वी पर ऐसे गिर पड़े, मानो इन्द्र के वज्र से मारे गए हों।
English Commentary
The focus shifts to the collateral damage caused by the takeoff. The phrase Uru-vega (force of the thighs) is scientifically intuitive, as the thighs provide the thrust for a jump. However, the shockwave generated is so powerful that it snaps full-grown trees. The comparison to Shakrayudha (Indra’s Vajra/Thunderbolt) elevates the event to a celestial scale, suggesting the destruction was sudden, violent, and absolute.
हिंदी टीका
उड़ान भरते समय हनुमान जी की जांघों (thighs) से जो हवा या वेग उत्पन्न हुआ, उसने आस-पास के पेड़ों को उखाड़ दिया। 'शक्रायुध' का अर्थ है इन्द्र का हथियार (वज्र)। जिस प्रकार बिजली गिरने से पेड़ टूट जाते हैं, वैसी ही दशा हनुमान जी के वेग से हुई। यह बताता है कि उनका शारीरिक बल किसी दैवीय अस्त्र से कम नहीं है। 'उरुवेग' (जांघों का वेग) शब्द यहाँ महत्वपूर्ण है, जो शारीरिक शक्ति के स्रोत को इंगित करता है।
