कन्दरान्तरसंस्थानां पीडितानां महौजसाम् ।
सिंहानां निनदो भीमो नभो भिन्दन् स शुश्रुवे ।
।
॥५-५६-२८॥
Kandarāntarasaṃsthānāṃ pīḍitānāṃ mahaujasām । Siṃhānāṃ ninado bhīmo nabho bhindan sa śuśruve । । ॥5-56-28॥
Translation
The terrifying roar of the mighty lions dwelling inside the caves, being crushed/oppressed, was heard piercing the sky.
हिंदी अनुवाद
गुफाओं के भीतर रहने वाले महातेजस्वी सिंह, पर्वत के दबने से पीड़ित होकर (दबकर) गर्जना करने लगे। उनकी वह भयानक आवाज़ आकाश को चीरती हुई सुनाई दी।
English Commentary
This verse captures the auditory horror of the scene. The lions, usually the dominant force in the wild (Mahaujasam), are trapped in their own dens as the mountain compresses. Their roar is not one of aggression, but of distress. The phrase Nabho bhindan (splitting the sky) describes the sheer volume and intensity of the sound, emphasizing how the event overwhelmed the entire environment.

पर्वत के धंसने से गुफाएं पिचकने लगीं, जिससे वहां रहने वाले शेरों पर दबाव पड़ा। शेर जंगल का राजा होता है और 'महौजस' (महातेजस्वी) होता है, लेकिन हनुमान जी की शक्ति के आगे वह भी असहाय है। उनकी दर्द और क्रोध भरी गर्जना इतनी तेज थी कि लगा आकाश फट जाएगा (नभो भिन्दन्)। यह ध्वनि प्रदूषण नहीं, बल्कि शक्ति का नाद है।
