तदर्थोपहितं वाक्यं प्रश्रितं हेतुसंहितम् ।
निशम्य हनुमांस्तस्या वाक्यमुत्तरमब्रवीत् ।

Translation
Hearing her words which were meaningful, polite, and endowed with reason, Hanuman spoke in reply.

सीता के उस अर्थपूर्ण (प्रयोजन-युक्त), विनम्र और तर्कसंगत (हेतुसंहित) वचन को सुनकर, हनुमान ने उत्तर दिया।
English Commentary
Valmiki analyzes the quality of Sita’s speech using three descriptors: arthopahitaṃ (laden with deep meaning/purpose), praśritaṃ (humble/courteous), and hetusaṃhitam (logical/reasoned). Sita isn't speaking out of mere emotion; she is presenting a logical argument for why a military rescue is the only righteous path. Hanuman, appreciating the wisdom and dignity in her refusal to escape secretly, responds with equal seriousness.

वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ सीता के वचनों की तीन विशेषताएँ बताते हैं: 1. 'अर्थोपहितं' (Meaningful/Purposeful) - जिसका गहरा मतलब है, 2. 'प्रश्रितं' (Polite/Humble) - अहंकार रहित, और 3. 'हेतुसंहितम्' (Logical/Reasonable) - जो केवल भावना नहीं, बल्कि ठोस तर्क पर आधारित है। हनुमान जी इन गुणों को पहचानते हैं और उसी गंभीरता से उत्तर देते हैं। एक विद्वान ही दूसरे विद्वान की बात का मर्म समझ सकता है।
