ततः स कपिशार्दूलः स्वामिसन्दर्शनोत्सुकः ।
आरुरोह गिरिश्रेष्ठमरिष्टमरिमर्दनः ।

tataḥ sa kapiśārdūlaḥ svāmisandarśanotsukaḥ |
āruroha giriśreṣṭhamariṣṭamarimardanaḥ ॥5-56-9॥
Translation
Then, that Tiger among Monkeys (Hanuman), the crusher of enemies, eager to see his Master, climbed the best of mountains named Arishta.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, शत्रुओं का दमन करने वाले (अरिमर्दनः) वे कपिश्रेष्ठ (हनुमान), अपने स्वामी (राम) के दर्शन के लिए उत्सुक होकर, 'अरिष्ट' नामक श्रेष्ठ पर्वत पर चढ़ गए।
English Commentary
This verse sets the physical scene for the return leap. Hanuman is described with powerful epithets: Kapiśārdūla (Tiger among monkeys) and Arimardana (Crusher of foes). However, his motivation is purely devotional—he is svāmisandarśanotsukaḥ (eager to see his Master). He climbs Mount Arishta to gain the necessary elevation for his jump. This marks the transition from the "Lanka" phase of his mission back to the "Ocean Crossing" phase.

सुंदरकांड का यह सर्ग हनुमान जी के प्रस्थान के साथ समाप्त हो रहा है। हनुमान जी को 'अरिमर्दनः' (शत्रुनाशक) कहा गया है, जो उनकी लंका विजय को याद दिलाता है। वे 'स्वामिसन्दर्शनोत्सुकः' हैं - राम से मिलने की उत्कंठा ही अब उनका एकमात्र लक्ष्य है। वे समुद्र लांघने के लिए एक ऊँचे लॉन्च-पैड की तलाश में 'अरिष्ट' पर्वत पर चढ़ते हैं। यह पर्वत उनकी वापसी की छलांग का साक्षी बनेगा।
