महतो वायुनुन्नस्य तोयदस्येव गर्जितम् ।
शुश्रुवुस्ते तदा घोषमूरुवेगं हनूमतः ।

Mahato vāyununnasya toyadasyeva garjitam । Śuśruvuste tadā ghoṣamūruvegaṃ hanūmataḥ । । ॥5-57-20॥
Translation
...They heard that sound, resembling the roaring of a massive cloud driven by the wind, and the sound of the force of Hanuman's thighs.

...उन्होंने तब वायु द्वारा धकेले गए विशाल बादल की गर्जना के समान हनुमान की गर्जना और उनके जांघों के वेग की ध्वनि सुनी।
English Commentary
The auditory experience of the waiting Vanaras is described in detail. They heard not just a vocal roar, but the physical sound of Hanuman's flight—specifically Uru-vegam, the noise generated by the speed of his thighs cutting through the air. वानरों ने दो प्रकार की ध्वनियां सुनीं: एक तो हनुमान जी के मुख से निकली गर्जना, और दूसरी 'ऊरुवेगं' (जांघों का वेग)। जब कोई विशाल वस्तु वायु को काटते हुए तीव्र गति से निकलती है, तो जो ध्वनि (sonic boom या wind shear) उत्पन्न होती है, उसका यहाँ वर्णन है। यह हनुमान जी की शारीरिक शक्ति और उनकी उड़ान की गति को प्रमाणित करता है। उनकी तुलना वायु-प्रेरित मेघ से करना उनकी अदम्य ऊर्जा को दर्शाता है।
