ते दीनमनसः सर्वे शुश्रिवुः काननौकसः ।
वानरेन्द्रस्य निर्घोषं पर्जन्यनिनदोपमम् ।
।
॥५-५७-२१॥
Te dīnamanasāḥ sarve śuśruvuḥ kānanaukasaḥ । Vānarendrasya nirghoṣaṃ parjanyaninadopamam । । ॥5-57-21॥
Translation
Those forest-dwellers, who were all dejected in mind, heard the roar of the monkey chief, which was like the thundering of rain clouds.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे सभी वनवासी (वानर), जो अब तक उदास मन वाले (दीनमनसः) थे, उन्होंने वानरेंद्र (हनुमान) के उस मेघ-गर्जन समान घोष को सुना।
English Commentary
The psychological state of the waiting group is highlighted as Dinamanasah (depressed or dejected). They were consumed by anxiety regarding the mission's outcome and the ticking deadline. The sound of Hanuman is compared to Parjanya (rain-bearing clouds). Just as rain clouds bring relief to a parched land, Hanuman's roar brought instant relief to the despairing Vanaras. It signifies the pivotal moment where sorrow transforms into hope before the hero even lands.

यहाँ 'दीनमनसः' शब्द अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। हनुमान के आने से पहले वानर दल निराशा में डूबा हुआ था। उन्हें भय था कि समय सीमा समाप्त हो रही है और शायद हनुमान असफल हो गए हैं। परन्तु उस 'पर्जन्यनिनदोपमम्' (वर्षा वाले बादल की गर्जना) ने उनकी दीनता को क्षण भर में दूर कर दिया। जैसे सूखी धरती के लिए वर्षा का बादल आशा लेकर आता है, वैसे ही हनुमान की गर्जना ने निराश वानरों में प्राण फूंक दिए।
