जाम्बवान् स हरिश्रेष्ठः प्रीतिसंहृष्टमानसः ।
उपामन्त्र्य हरीन् सर्वानिदं वचनमब्रवीत् ।

॥५-५७-२३॥
Jāmbavān sa hariśreṣṭhaḥ prītisaṃhṛṣṭamānasaḥ । Upāmantrya harīn sarvānidaṃ vacanamabravīt । । ॥5-57-23॥
Translation
Then Jambavan, the best among monkeys, his mind thrilled with joy and affection, addressed all the monkeys and spoke these words.

तब वानरों में श्रेष्ठ जाम्बवान, जिनका मन प्रेम और हर्ष से प्रफुल्लित था, सभी वानरों को संबोधित करके यह वचन बोले।
English Commentary
Jambavan, the wise elder and mentor of the group, takes center stage. His reaction serves as the authoritative interpretation of the roar. Being Priti-samhrishta-manasah (mind filled with love and delight), he recognizes the tone of victory in Hanuman’s voice. While younger monkeys might be just excited, Jambavan understands the implication perfectly. He gathers the group to formally announce his interpretation, bridging the gap between the raw signal (the roar) and the confirmed news of success.
