Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सर्वथा कृतकार्यो ऽसौ हनूमान्नात्र संशयः ।
न ह्यस्याकृतकार्यस्य नाद एवंविधो भवेत् ।
।
॥५-५७-२४॥
Sarvathā kṛtakāryo 'sau hanūmānnātra saṃśayaḥ । Na hyasyākṛtakāryasya nāda evaṃvidho bhavet । । ॥5-57-24॥
Translation
"By all means, Hanuman has accomplished the task; there is no doubt about it. Indeed, the roar of one who has failed in his mission would not be like this."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"यह निश्चित है कि हनुमान ने कार्य पूर्ण कर लिया है, इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है। यदि उनका कार्य सिद्ध न हुआ होता, तो उनकी गर्जना इस प्रकार की (हर्षयुक्त) नहीं होती।"
English Commentary
Jambavan demonstrates his wisdom and experience as the elder leader. He interprets the tone of the roar, deducing that such a triumphant sound can only come from success. A failed mission would result in silence or a subdued return. Jambavan’s certainty ("Natra samshayah" - no doubt here) serves to calm the anxieties of the younger monkeys immediately, confirming victory before Hanuman even lands.

यहाँ जाम्बवान का अनुभव बोल रहा है। वे केवल ध्वनि नहीं सुन रहे, बल्कि उस ध्वनि में छिपे भाव को भी पढ़ रहे हैं। एक असफल व्यक्ति की आवाज में दीनता, संकोच या मौन होता है, लेकिन हनुमान की गर्जना में जो आत्मविश्वास और उत्साह है, उसे जाम्बवान ने तुरंत पहचान लिया। यह श्लोक एक अनुभवी नेता की अंतर्दृष्टि को दर्शाता है जो संकेतों (body language/tone) से ही परिणाम भाँप लेता है।
