Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तमभ्रघनसङ्काशमापतन्तं महाकपिम् ।
दृष्ट्वा ते वानराः सर्वे तस्थुः प्राञ्जलयस्तदा ।
।
॥५-५७-२९॥
Tamabhraghanasaṅkāśamāpatantaṃ mahākapim । Dṛṣṭvā te vānarāḥ sarve tasthuḥ prāñjalayastadā । । ॥5-57-29॥
Translation
Seeing that great monkey arriving like a dense cloud, all those monkeys stood there with folded hands (in reverence).
हिंदी अनुवाद
घने बादल के समान प्रतीत होने वाले (विशाल), नीचे उतरते हुए उस महाकपि को देखकर, वे सभी वानर हाथ जोड़कर (प्रांजलि) खड़े हो गए।
English Commentary
The chaotic excitement shifts to reverent stillness as Hanuman becomes clearly visible. He is described as resembling a dense cloud (Abhra-ghana-sankasham), imposing and majestic. The gesture of Pranjali (folded hands) signifies deep respect and gratitude. The monkeys realize the magnitude of his feat; he is not just returning from a trip, he is returning as a savior who has redeemed their honor and saved their lives.

अब तक वानर उछल-कूद रहे थे, लेकिन जैसे ही हनुमान जी निकट आए, उनका व्यवहार बदल गया। 'प्राञ्जलयः' (हाथ जोड़े हुए) शब्द आदर और कृतज्ञता को दर्शाता है। हनुमान अब केवल मित्र नहीं, बल्कि एक रक्षक और नायक के रूप में देखे जा रहे हैं। 'अभ्रघनसङ्काशम्' (घने बादल जैसे) उनकी विशालता और श्याम वर्ण का वर्णन करता है, जो आकाश को ढक लेता है। आदर मिश्रित विस्मय का भाव यहाँ प्रधान है।
