ततःतु वेगवांस्तस्य गिरेर्गिरिनिभः कपिः ।
निपपात महेन्द्रस्य शिखरे पादपाकुले ।

Tatastu vegavāṃstasya girergirinibhaḥ kapiḥ । Nipapāta mahendrasya śikhare pādapākule । । ॥5-57-30॥
Translation
Then, that swift monkey, resembling a mountain himself, landed on the peak of Mount Mahendra, which was crowded with trees.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, पर्वत के समान विशाल वह वेगवान वानर, वृक्षों से भरे हुए उस महेंद्र पर्वत के शिखर पर उतरा।
English Commentary
The landing is depicted with weight and grandeur. Hanuman is described as Giri-nibhah (mountain-like), emphasizing that he matches the Mahendra mountain in stature. His descent is not soft; it is powerful. Landing on a peak covered with trees (Padapakule) suggests the sheer physical impact of his arrival, likely causing a massive disturbance in the vegetation, further highlighting his size and speed.

हनुमान जी का अवतरण (landing) किसी छोटे विमान जैसा नहीं, बल्कि एक पर्वत के उतरने जैसा है। 'गिरिनिभः' (पर्वत के समान) उपमा उनके आकार को बताती है। जब वे महेंद्र पर्वत पर उतरे, तो दो पर्वतों का मिलन हुआ—एक स्थिर और एक गतिशील। 'पादपाकुले' बताता है कि जिस शिखर पर वे उतरे, वह घने वृक्षों से भरा था, जो संभवतः उनके वेग से कम्पित हो गए होंगे।
