हर्षेणापूर्यमाणो ऽसौ रम्ये पर्वतानिर्झरे ।
छिन्नपक्ष इवाकाशात् पपात धरणीधरः ।
।
॥५-५७-३१॥
Harṣeṇāpūryamāṇa 'sau ramye parvatanirjhare । Chinnapakṣa ivākāśāt papāta dharaṇīdharaḥ । । ॥5-57-31॥
Translation
Filled with joy, he landed near a beautiful mountain stream, like a mountain with its wings severed falling from the sky.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हर्ष से परिपूर्ण हनुमान एक सुंदर पहाड़ी झरने के पास इस प्रकार उतरे, मानो पंख कटे हुए कोई पर्वत आकाश से गिरा हो।
English Commentary
A classical mythological simile is used here: Chinna-paksha (severed wings). In legends, mountains once flew until Indra clipped their wings to stabilize the earth. Hanuman descending from the sky looks like one of these flying mountains grounding itself. Despite the heavy imagery, the mood is light—he is filled with joy (Harshena-apuryamano). Landing near a beautiful stream indicates a moment of earned rest and refreshment after the arduous journey.

यहाँ एक पौराणिक संदर्भ है। प्राचीन काल में पर्वतों के पंख होते थे, जिन्हें इंद्र ने काट दिया था। हनुमान जी का आकाश से उतरना उसी दृश्य की याद दिलाता है—विशाल, भारी और शक्तिशाली। लेकिन अंतर यह है कि वे 'हर्षेणापूर्यमाणो' (हर्ष से भरे हुए) हैं। स्थान का चयन भी सुंदर है—'रम्ये पर्वतानिर्झरे' (रमणीय झरने के पास), जो थके हुए यात्री के लिए सुखद है।
