प्रहृष्टवदनाः सर्वे तमरोगमुपागतम् ।
उपायनानि चादाय मूलानि च फलानि च ।
प्रत्यर्चयन् हरिश्रेष्ठं हरयो मारुतात्मजम् ।
।
॥५-५७-३३॥
Prahṛṣṭavadanāḥ sarve tamarogamupāgatam । Upāyanāni cādāya mūlāni ca phalāni ca । Pratyarcayan hariśreṣṭhaṃ harayo mārutātmajam । । ॥5-57-33॥
Translation
With delighted faces, bringing gifts of roots and fruits, the monkeys honored the best of monkeys, the son of the wind, who had returned safe and healthy.
हिंदी अनुवाद
प्रसन्न मुख वाले उन सभी वानरों ने निरोग (कुशल) लौटे हुए मारुति (हनुमान) का कंद-मूल और फल आदि उपहार (भेंट) लाकर सत्कार किया।
English Commentary
This verse details the etiquette of the Vanaras. They greet their hero with Upayana (gifts/offerings) consisting of roots and fruits—the best sustenance the forest offers. The descriptor Arogam (disease-free/uninjured) is vital; the monkeys observe that Hanuman has returned physically intact, which is a miracle in itself given the danger he faced. They honor him not just as a friend, but as a superior being (Hari-shreshtham).

वानर समाज की संस्कृति का दर्शन यहाँ होता है। स्वागत केवल शब्दों से नहीं, बल्कि उपहारों से किया जा रहा है। जंगल में 'मूल और फल' ही सबसे उत्तम उपहार हैं। 'अरोगम्' (रोग रहित/घाव रहित) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है—वे देख रहे हैं कि इतना बड़ा युद्ध और यात्रा करने के बाद भी हनुमान सुरक्षित हैं। यह 'प्रत्यर्चयन्' (पूजा/अर्चना/सम्मान) उनके कृतज्ञता भाव को दिखाता है।
