अशोकवनिकासंस्था दृष्टा सा जनकात्मजा ।
रक्ष्यमाणा सुघोराभी राक्षसीभिरनिन्दिता ।
।
॥५-५७-३८॥
Aśokavanikāsaṃsthā dṛṣṭā sā Janakātmajā । Rakṣyamāṇā sughorābhī rākṣasībhiraninditā । । ॥5-57-38॥
Translation
(Hanuman said) "I saw that daughter of Janaka staying in the Ashoka grove. She is being guarded by terrible demonesses, yet she remains blameless."
हिंदी अनुवाद
(हनुमान जी ने कहा) मैंने जनकनंदिनी सीता को अशोक वाटिका में स्थित देखा। वह अनिंदिता (दोषरहित) देवी अत्यंत भयानक राक्षसियों द्वारा पहरे में रखी गई हैं।
English Commentary
In this verse, Hanuman provides the executive summary of his findings. He identifies the location (Ashoka Vanika) and the threat level (terrible demonesses). However, the most critical word is aninditā (blameless/irreproachable). By using this specific adjective, Hanuman immediately assures the Vanaras that despite being in Ravana's custody, Sita’s chastity and moral standing remain intact. This distinction is vital for Rama’s honor and is the core message the search party needed to confirm.
