तस्थौ तत्राङ्गदः श्रीमान् वानरैर्बहुभिर्वृतः ।
उपास्यमानो विबुधैर्दिवि देवपतिर्यथा ।

Tasthau tatrāṅgadaḥ śrīmān vānarairbahubhirvṛtaḥ । Upāsyamāno vibudhairdivi devapatiryathā । । ॥5-57-50॥
Translation
The glorious Angada sat there, surrounded by many Vanaras, appearing just like the Lord of Celestials (Indra) surrounded by gods in heaven.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहाँ बहुत से वानरों से घिरे हुए श्रीमान अंगद वैसे ही सुशोभित हो रहे थे, जैसे स्वर्ग में देवताओं से घिरे हुए देवराज इन्द्र सुशोभित होते हैं।
English Commentary
Valmiki ensures that the hierarchy and royal dignity are maintained. Even though Hanuman is the hero of the moment, Angada is the Crown Prince and leader of the expedition. The poet compares Angada to Indra (Lord of Gods) surrounded by celestials, re-establishing his authority and the 'Sri' (majesty) of the gathering. It paints a picture of a formal royal court held in the rugged setting of the mountains.
हिंदी टीका
यद्यपि कार्य हनुमान जी ने किया था, तथापि वाल्मीकि जी युवराज अंगद की गरिमा को कम नहीं होने देते। यह श्लोक 'श्रिया' (राजसी शोभा) और नेतृत्व का वर्णन करता है। हनुमान जी कथा सुना रहे हैं, लेकिन सभा की अध्यक्षता अंगद कर रहे हैं। उपमा अलंकार का प्रयोग करते हुए कवि उन्हें 'देवपति' (इन्द्र) के समान बताते हैं, जो यह दर्शाता है कि विपत्ति टलने के बाद अब वानर सेना में पुनः राजसी वैभव और अनुशासन लौट आया है।
