पाण्डरारुणवर्णानि नीलमाञिष्ठकानि च ।
हरितारुणवर्णानि महाभ्राणि चकाशिरे ।

Pāṇḍarāruṇavarṇāni nīlamāñjiṣṭhakāni ca । Haritāruṇavarṇāni mahābhrāṇi cakāśire । । ॥5-57-7॥
Translation
Great clouds of various colors—white and red, blue and madder (deep red/purplish), green and reddish—shone brightly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(हनुमान जी के साथ) सफेद और लाल रंग के, नीले और मजीठ (गहरे लाल/बैंगनी) रंग के, तथा हरे और अरुण रंग के विशाल बादल चमक रहे थे।
English Commentary
The flight creates a prismatic display in the sky. The clouds are not just grey or white; they are illuminated in a spectrum of colors—pale white, red, blue, madder (Manjishtha), and green. This visual spectacle could be attributed to the interplay of sunlight/moonlight with the clouds, or perhaps the reflection of Hanuman’s own golden radiance against the atmospheric canvas, turning his path into a vibrant rainbow trail.

वाल्मीकि जी एक चित्रकार की तरह आकाश के रंगों का वर्णन करते हैं। सूर्य या चंद्रमा की रोशनी जब बादलों पर पड़ती है, और हनुमान जी की अपनी 'स्वर्ण-आभा' (golden glow) जब उनसे मिलती है, तो बादलों में अनेक रंग बिखर जाते हैं। पाण्डर (सफेद), अरुण (लाल), नील (नीला), माञ्जिष्ठ (मजीठ जैसा गहरा लाल), हरित (हरा)—यह रंगीन दृश्य हनुमान जी की यात्रा को एक उत्सव जैसा बनाता है।
