ततस्तस्य गिरेः शृङ्गे महेन्द्रस्य महाबलाः ।
हनुमत्प्रमुखाः प्रीतिं हरayo जग्मुरुत्तमाम् ।

Tatastasya gireḥ śṛṅge mahendrasya mahābalāḥ । Hanumatpramukhāḥ prītiṃ harayo jagmuruttamām । । ॥5-58-1॥
Translation
Then, on the peak of that Mahendra mountain, the mighty monkeys, headed by Hanuman, attained supreme joy.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनंतर उस महेंद्र पर्वत के शिखर पर हनुमान जी को प्रमुख बनाकर उन महाबली वानरों ने परम प्रसन्नता प्राप्त की।
English Commentary
This marks the beginning of Sarga 58. The focus shifts to the collective relief of the group. The phrase Hanumat-pramukhāḥ (Hanuman at the forefront) indicates a shift in focus; while Angada is the royal leader, Hanuman is now the operational lead because he holds the key to their survival: information about Sita. The verse sets a positive tone of "supreme joy" before the serious debriefing begins.

सुंदरकाण्ड का 58वां सर्ग यहाँ से आरम्भ होता है। पिछले सर्ग में हनुमान जी का स्वागत हुआ था, अब कथा आरम्भ होने की भूमिका बन रही है। 'हनुमत्प्रमुखाः' शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है—वानर सेना का नेतृत्व अब अनौपचारिक रूप से हनुमान जी के पास है क्योंकि उनके पास ही वह ज्ञान (Intel) है जो सबके प्राण बचा सकता है। यह श्लोक उस सामूहिक राहत और खुशी को रेखांकित करता है जो संकट के बादल छंटने पर महसूस होती है।
