प्रणम्य शिरसा देवीमहमार्यामनिन्दिताम् ।
राघवस्य मनोह्लादमभिज्ञानमयाचिषम् ।
।
॥५-५८-१००॥
Praṇamya śirasā devīmahamāryāmaninditām । Rāghavasya manohlādamabhijñānamayāciṣam । । ॥5-58-100॥
Translation
Bowing my head to that noble and blameless Goddess, I begged for a token of recognition that would bring joy to the mind of Raghava.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैंने उन आर्या (पूजनीया) और अनिन्दिता (दोषरहित) देवी को सिर झुकाकर प्रणाम किया और राघव (राम) के मन को आह्लाद (प्रसन्नता) देने वाला कोई पहचान चिह्न (अभिज्ञान) मांगा।
English Commentary
Accepting her decision, Hanuman prepares to return. He bows to her, addressing her as Aryam (noble) and Aninditam (blameless/pure), validating her chastity. He then asks for a return token (Abhijyanam). Just as the ring proved his identity to her, he needs a token from her to prove to Rama that he successfully found her, to bring "joy to Raghava's mind."

हनुमान जी सीता के निर्णय का सम्मान करते हैं। वे सीता को 'अनिन्दिता' (जिसकी निंदा नहीं की जा सकती) मानते हैं, जो यह दर्शाता है कि रावण के घर में रहकर भी सीता की पवित्रता अक्षुण्ण है। लौटने से पहले, हनुमान को राम के लिए सबूत चाहिए कि वह सीता से मिले हैं। इसलिए वे 'अभिज्ञान' मांगते हैं, ताकि राम को विश्वास हो और उनका मन प्रसन्न ('मनोह्लाद') हो।
