प्रहतं च मया तस्य लांगूलेन महागिरेः ।
शिखरं सूर्यसङ्काशं व्यशीर्यत सहस्रधा ।

Prahataṃ ca mayā tasya lāṅgūlena mahāgireḥ । Śikharaṃ sūryasaṅkāśaṃ vyaśīryata sahasradha । । ॥5-58-11॥
Translation
I struck that great mountain with my tail, and its peak, glowing like the sun, was shattered into a thousand pieces.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैंने अपनी पूंछ से उस महापर्वत पर प्रहार किया, जिससे उसका सूर्य के समान चमकने वाला शिखर हजार टुकड़ों में बिखर गया।
English Commentary
Hanuman casually describes a feat of immense power. He didn't even use his fists; a mere swipe of his tail (Langulena) was sufficient to pulverize the golden peak of a massive mountain. The imagery of the sun-bright peak shattering into 'a thousand pieces' emphasizes the destructive potential Hanuman possessed but held in check. It serves as a warning to the listeners of what happens to those who truly oppose him.

हनुमान जी की शक्ति की कल्पना यहाँ की जा सकती है। उन्हें हाथों या गदा का प्रयोग भी नहीं करना पड़ा; केवल पूंछ के एक वार से उन्होंने विशाल पर्वत के शिखर को चकनाचूर कर दिया। 'सहस्रधा' (हजारों टुकड़ों में) शब्द उस प्रहार की भीषणता को बताता है। यह घटना यह सिद्ध करती है कि यदि मैनाक वास्तव में शत्रु होता, तो हनुमान जी का वेग और बल उसे क्षण भर में नष्ट कर देते। यह उनके 'वज्रांग' होने का प्रमाण है।
