तच्छ्रुत्वा राक्षसेन्द्रस्तु मन्त्रिपुत्रान् महाबलान् ।
पदातिबलसम्पन्नान् प्रेषयामास रावणः ।

Tacchrutvā rākṣasendrastu mantriputrān mahābalān । Padātibalasampannān preṣayāmāsa rāvaṇaḥ । । ॥5-58-119॥
Translation
Hearing of that (Jambumalin's death), the King of Demons (Ravana) dispatched the mighty sons of his ministers, accompanied by a force of infantry.

जम्बुमाली का वध सुनकर, राक्षसों के राजा (रावण) ने अत्यंत बलशाली मन्त्रिपुत्रों को पैदल सेना के विशाल दल के साथ भेजा।
English Commentary
Upon hearing of Jambumalin's demise, Ravana escalates the response by sending the seven sons of his chief ministers. This represents a deployment of the high-ranking nobility of Lanka. The text notes they were accompanied by infantry, suggesting a shift from individual champions to a more structured military assault. Hanuman uses the term 'Mahabalan' (very strong) to acknowledge the prowess of his adversaries, thereby implicitly elevating the magnitude of his own victory against such elite forces.

रावण का क्रोध अब और बढ़ गया है। एक सेनापति के पुत्र की मृत्यु के बाद, उसने अब अपने सात मन्त्रिपुत्रों को भेजा। यह रावण की रणनीति में बदलाव को दिखाता है—वह अब व्यक्तिगत योद्धाओं के बजाय सामूहिक शक्ति (मन्त्रिपुत्र और पैदल सेना) का प्रयोग कर रहा है। 'महाबलान' विशेषण यह बताता है कि ये कोई साधारण योद्धा नहीं थे, बल्कि लंका के कुलीन और शक्तिशाली वर्ग से थे। हनुमान जी यह विवरण देकर वानरों को बता रहे हैं कि उन्होंने लंका के शीर्ष नेतृत्व की अगली पीढ़ी का सामना कैसे किया।
