तत इन्द्रजितं नाम द्वितीयं रावणः सुतम् ।
व्यादिदेश सुसंक्रुद्धो बलिनं युद्धदुर्मदम् ।

Tata indrajitaṃ nāma dvitīyaṃ rāvaṇaḥ sutam । Vyādideśa susaṃkruddho balinaṃ yuddhadurmadam । । ॥5-58-125॥
Translation
...Then, filled with immense anger, Ravana ordered his second son, named Indrajit, who was powerful and intoxicated with the lust for battle.

...तब अत्यंत क्रोधित होकर रावण ने अपने दूसरे पुत्र, जो बलवान और युद्ध में उन्मत्त रहने वाला था, उस 'इन्द्रजीत' को आदेश दिया।
English Commentary
The narrative reaches its peak adversary. With the death of Aksha, the stakes are maximum. Ravana deploys Indrajit, the conqueror of Indra and the crown jewel of Lanka's military. The adjectives used—'Balinam' (strong) and 'Yuddhadurmadam' (arrogant/intoxicated in war)—paint a picture of a warrior who is not only capable but terrifyingly confident. This sets the stage for the final confrontation before Hanuman's capture.

अक्षकुमार की मृत्यु के बाद रावण के पास अब अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ योद्धा भेजने के अलावा कोई विकल्प नहीं था। 'सुसंक्रुद्धो' (अत्यंत क्रुद्ध) रावण की मानसिक स्थिति बताता है। मेघनाद (इन्द्रजीत) रावण का सबसे शक्तिशाली पुत्र था, जिसने स्वयं इन्द्र को जीता था। 'युद्धदुर्मदम्' विशेषण बताता है कि इन्द्रजीत को युद्ध का नशा था और उसे अपनी शक्ति पर अहंकार था। यह लंका का 'ब्रह्मास्त्र' (अंतिम उपाय) था जिसे अब हनुमान के विरुद्ध प्रयोग किया जा रहा था।
