पुच्छेन च प्रदीप्तेन तां पुरीं साट्टगोपुराम् ।

Pucchena ca pradīptena tāṃ purīṃ sāṭṭagopurām . Dahāmyahamasambhrānto yugāntāgniriva prajāḥ .. 5.58.155 .. ॥5-58-155॥
Translation
With my burning tail, I burnt that city along with its attics and towers, remaining calm/unconfused, just as the fire at the end of the age burns all creatures.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपनी जलती हुई पूंछ से मैंने उस अट्टालिकाओं और गोपुरों वाली नगरी को, बिना किसी घबराहट के, वैसे ही जला दिया जैसे प्रलयकाल की अग्नि प्रजा (सृष्टि) को जला देती है।
English Commentary
Hanuman compares his burning of Lanka to the Yuganta-agni (the cosmic fire that destroys the universe at the end of an eon). The phrase "Asambhrantah" (unconfused/calm) indicates that this was a calculated act of war, not a blind rampage. He systematically targeted the "Atta" (upper stories) and "Gopuram" (gates), dismantling the city's architectural pride. The burning tail, intended by Ravana to be a badge of shame, became the torch of retribution.

यहाँ हनुमान जी के रौद्र रूप का वर्णन है। 'असम्भ्रान्त:' (बिना घबराहट के/शांत चित्त से) शब्द विशेष महत्वपूर्ण है। इतनी बड़ी तबाही मचाते समय भी उनका मन स्थिर था; वे क्रोध के आवेश में नहीं, बल्कि एक निश्चित उद्देश्य से कार्य कर रहे थे। उन्होंने रावण के गर्व—स्वर्ण लंका—को 'युगान्ताग्नि' (प्रलय की आग) बनकर भस्म कर दिया। महलों और ऊंचे भवनों का जलना रावण के ऐश्वर्य और अहंकार के पतन का प्रतीक है।
