एतत्सर्वं मया तत्र यथावदुपपादितम् ।
अत्र यन्न कृतं शेषं तत्सर्वं क्रियतामिति ।

etatsarvaṃ mayā tatra yathāvadupapāditam |
atra yanna kṛtaṃ śeṣaṃ tatsarvaṃ kriyatāmiti ॥5-58-167॥
Translation
I have executed all this appropriately there (in Lanka). Now, whatever remains to be done in this matter, let that all be done (by you).

वहाँ (लंका में) मैंने यह सब यथोचित रूप से संपन्न किया। अब यहाँ जो कार्य शेष रह गया है, उसे आप सब पूर्ण करें।
English Commentary
Hanuman concludes his formal report with a statement of completed duty. The phrase yathāvadupapāditam implies that he acted according to the strict code of conduct for an envoy—delivering the message and assessing the enemy's strength without overstepping his bounds regarding the rescue itself. By saying 'whatever remains to be done,' he respectfully hands the command back to Angada and Jambavan. It demonstrates his respect for the hierarchy; despite being the most capable, he submits to the collective wisdom of the council regarding the next strategic move.

इस श्लोक के साथ हनुमान जी अपना वृत्तांत समाप्त करते हैं। 'यथावदुपपादितम्' का अर्थ है कि उन्होंने केवल सीता को देखा ही नहीं, बल्कि साम, दाम, दंड और भेद का प्रयोग करते हुए शत्रु की शक्ति का परीक्षण भी किया, जो एक दूत के लिए उचित था। अब वे निर्णय लेने का भार अंगद और जाम्बवान जैसे वरिष्ठ वानरों पर छोड़ते हैं। यह उनकी अनुशासन प्रियता को दर्शाता है कि कार्य करके लौटने के बाद वे स्वयं नेता बनकर आदेश नहीं देते, बल्कि समूह के निर्णय की प्रतीक्षा करते हैं कि आगे राम के पास जाना है या लंका पर आक्रमण करना है।
