तां हत्वा पुनरेवाहं कृत्यमात्ययिकं स्मरन् ।
गत्वा चाहं महाध्वानं पश्यामि नगमण्डितम् ।

Tāṃ hatvā punarevāhaṃ kṛtyam-ātyayikaṃ smaran . Gatvā cāhaṃ mahādhvānaṃ paśyāmi naga-maṇḍitam .. 5.58.45 .. ॥5-58-45॥
Translation
Having killed her (Simhika) and remembering my urgent mission, I traveled a great distance and saw the shore adorned with mountains.

उस (सिंहिका) को मारकर, अपने अत्यावश्यक (शीघ्र करने योग्य) कार्य का स्मरण करते हुए, मैंने लंबा मार्ग तय किया और पर्वतों से सुशोभित (दक्षिणी तट) को देखा।
English Commentary
After dispatching Simhika, Hanuman immediately refocuses on his mission. The phrase kṛtyam-ātyayikaṃ (urgent duty) highlights his unwavering dedication; he does not pause to celebrate his victory over the shadow-catching demoness. Covering the remaining long distance (mahādhvānaṃ) through the sky, he finally sights the destination—the southern shore adorned with mountains (naga-maṇḍitam). This verse illustrates the discipline of a true servant of the Lord: obstacles are cleared only to facilitate the mission, and the focus remains locked on the ultimate goal until the destination is in sight.

सिंहिका के वध के पश्चात हनुमान जी एक क्षण भी व्यर्थ नहीं गँवाते। यहाँ 'कृत्यम् आत्ययिकं' शब्द अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है, जिसका अर्थ है 'अति आवश्यक कार्य' या 'आपातकालीन कर्तव्य'। विजय का उत्सव मनाने के बजाय, उन्हें अपने लक्ष्य (राम-काज) की चिंता थी। उन्होंने आकाश मार्ग से लंबी दूरी तय की और अंततः समुद्र के दूसरे तट को देखा जो 'नगमण्डितम्' (पर्वतों से सजा हुआ) था—यही लंका का तट था। यह श्लोक एक कर्मयोगी की मानसिकता को दर्शाता है जिसके लिए मार्ग की बाधाओं को हटाना केवल लक्ष्य तक पहुँचने का एक साधन है, स्वयं में कोई उपलब्धि नहीं।
