ततस्ताभिः समेताभिर्नारीभिः स महाबलः ।
प्रसाद्य सहसा नीतो भवनं स्वं निशाचरः ।

Tatastābhiḥ sametābhirnārībhiḥ sa mahābalaḥ । Prasādya sahasā nīto bhavanaṃ svaṃ niśācaraḥ । । ॥5-58-78॥
Translation
Then, that mighty night-roamer was pacified by those women gathering together, and he was quickly led away to his own palace.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर उन सब नारियों ने मिलकर उस महाबली निशाचर (रावण) को प्रसन्न (शांत) किया और उसे शीघ्रता से उसके अपने भवन (महल) में ले गईं।
English Commentary
The collective effort of the royal women succeeds. They manage to pacify (prasadya) the volatile king and physically escort him away from the Ashoka Vatika back to his palace. This marks the end of the direct confrontation between Ravana and Sita for this sequence. It illustrates the power the women of the inner sanctum held in managing Ravana's moods, effectively saving the situation from turning into a bloodbath.

मंदोदरी और अन्य रानियों का प्रयास सफल हुआ। 'प्रसाद्य' शब्द बताता है कि उन्होंने रावण को मना लिया या उसका गुस्सा ठंडा कर दिया। स्त्रियाँ उसे वहाँ से दूर ले गईं ताकि सीता सुरक्षित रहें और रावण का क्रोध पुनः न भड़क जाए। यह दृश्य रावण के चरित्र की अस्थिरता को भी दिखाता है—जो क्षण भर में मारने को तैयार था, वह स्त्रियों के मनाने पर वापस भी चला गया। हनुमान जी यह सब छिपकर देख रहे थे।
