याते तस्मिन् दशग्रीवे राक्षस्यो विकृताननाः ।
सीतां निर्भर्त्सयामासुर्वाक्यैः क्रूरैः सुदारुणैः ।
।
॥५-५८-७९॥
Yāte tasmin daśagrīve rākṣasyo vikṛtānanāḥ । Sītāṃ nirbhartsayāmāsurvākyaiḥ krūraiḥ sudāruṇaiḥ । । ॥5-58-79॥
Translation
After Ten-Necked (Ravana) had departed, the grim-faced demonesses began to frighten/scold Sita with cruel and very terrifying words.

उस दशग्रीव (रावण) के चले जाने पर, विकृत मुख वाली राक्षसियों ने सीता को अत्यंत कठोर और भयानक वचनों से डराना-धमकाना शुरू किया।
English Commentary
The departure of Ravana signals the beginning of a different kind of torture. The guards—termed vikritananah (deformed/ugly-faced)—resume their duty of breaking Sita's spirit. Without the king's presence, they unleash a barrage of verbal abuse and threats (nirbhartsayamasuh). This transition highlights the relentless pressure Sita is under; she gets no respite, shifting immediately from facing death to facing psychological harassment by her captors.

रावण के जाते ही खतरा टला नहीं, बल्कि उसका स्वरूप बदल गया। अब तक राजा का भय था, अब सेविकाओं का मानसिक अत्याचार शुरू हुआ। 'विकृताननाः' (डरावने मुख वाली) राक्षसियां सीता को घेर लेती हैं। रावण ने उन्हें आदेश दिया था कि सीता को साम, दाम, दंड, भेद से वश में करें। इसलिए वे अब सीता का मनोबल तोड़ने के लिए क्रूर शब्दों का प्रयोग करती हैं। सीता की परीक्षा का यह दूसरा चरण है।
