इदं च पुरुषव्याघ्रः श्रीमान् दाशरथिः स्वयम् ।
अङ्गुलीयमभिज्ञानमदात्तुभ्यं यशस्विनि ।
।
॥५-५८-९७॥
Idaṃ ca puruṣavyāghraḥ śrīmān dāśarathiḥ svayam । Aṅgulīyamabhijñānamadāttubhyaṃ yaśasvini । । ॥5-58-97॥
Translation
"O illustrious lady! The tiger among men, the glorious son of Dasharatha, himself gave this ring as a token of recognition for you."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे यशस्विनी! पुरुषसिंह श्रीमान दाशरथि (राम) ने स्वयं यह अंगूठी पहचान (अभिज्ञान) के रूप में आपको देने के लिए दी है।"
English Commentary
This is the turning point of the conversation. The presentation of the ring (Anguliyam) serves as the definitive proof (Abhigyanam) of Hanuman's authenticity. Until this moment, words were just words; the physical token given by Rama svayam (himself) breaks down Sita's defenses. Addressing Sita as Yashasvini (illustrious one) acknowledges her maintained dignity despite her captivity.

यह सुंदरकाण्ड का एक भावुक शिखर है। हनुमान जी 'अंगूठी' (मुद्रिका) प्रस्तुत करते हैं। सीता के मन में जो भी शेष शंका थी, वह इस 'अभिज्ञान' (पहचान चिह्न) को देखकर समाप्त हो जाती है। हनुमान जी राम को 'पुरुषव्याघ्र' (पुरुषों में बाघ) कहते हैं, जो उनके पौरुष को दर्शाता है, और 'श्रीमान' कहते हैं जो उनकी राजसी गरिमा को। 'स्वयम्' शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है—यह किसी और की नहीं, राम के हाथ की अंगूठी है।
