पितामहवरोत्सेकात् परमं दर्पमास्थितौ ।
अमृतप्राशिनावेतौ सर्ववानरसत्तमौ ।

pitāmahavarotsekāt paramaṃ darpamāsthitau |
amṛtaprāśināvetau sarvavānarasattamau ॥5-59-18॥
Translation
Possessed of supreme pride due to the surge of power from the boon of the Grandfather (Brahma), these two best of Vanaras have drunk the divine nectar (Amrita).
हिंदी अनुवाद
ब्रह्मा जी (पितामह) से प्राप्त वरदान के कारण (शक्ति के) प्रवाह से ये परम गर्व/आत्मविश्वास से युक्त हैं। इन दोनों वानरश्रेष्ठों ने अमृत का पान किया हुआ है।
English Commentary
The source of their invincibility is revealed: a boon from Lord Brahma (Pitamaha). The term varotseka suggests an overflow of energy or rightful pride stemming from this divine blessing. Hanuman mentions they are amritaprashinau (tasters of nectar). In some traditions, this implies actual consumption of Amrita, making them effectively immortal or distinct from mortal monkeys. This divine backing levels the playing field against Ravana, who is also protected by Brahma’s boons. Hanuman implies: "If Ravana has Brahma's boon, so do we."
