एतावेव हि संक्रुद्धौ सवाजिरथकुञ्जराम् ।
लङ्कां नाशयितुं शक्तौ सर्वे तिष्ठन्तु वानराः ।

etāveva hi saṃkruddhau savājirathakuñjarām |
laṅkāṃ nāśayituṃ śaktau sarve tiṣṭhantu vānarāḥ ॥5-59-21॥
Translation
Indeed, if these two get angry, they alone are capable of destroying Lanka along with its horses, chariots, and elephants; let all other Vanaras stand by.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यदि ये दोनों क्रोधित हो जाएं, तो घोड़ों, रथों और हाथियों सहित पूरी लंका को नष्ट करने में समर्थ हैं। (भले ही) अन्य सभी वानर खड़े रहें (युद्ध न भी करें)।
English Commentary
Hanuman creates a hyperbole to drive home his point. He claims Mainda and Dvivida are a two-man army sufficient to annihilate Lanka's mechanized infantry (chariots, elephants). By saying "let all other Vanaras stand by," he minimizes the perceived threat of Ravana. If two Vanaras can do it, imagine what the whole army can achieve! This speech is designed to shift the group dynamic from passive waiting to active aggression, proposing that they have the means to end the saga right then and there.

हनुमान जी अपने तर्क का समापन करते हैं। उनका कथन है कि हमें राम की प्रतीक्षा करने की भी आवश्यकता नहीं है; केवल मैन्द और द्विविद ही लंका का काम तमाम कर सकते हैं, बाकी वानर केवल दर्शक बनकर खड़े रह सकते हैं। 'सर्वे तिष्ठन्तु वानराः' (बाकी सब खड़े रहें) एक मुहावरेदार अभिव्यक्ति है जो यह बताने के लिए है कि कार्य बहुत आसान है। यह अति-आत्मविश्वास नहीं, बल्कि 'मोरल बूस्टिंग' है ताकि वानर सेना अपनी हताशा त्यागकर आक्रमण के लिए तत्पर हो जाए।
