Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
मयैव निहता लङ्कां दग्धा भस्मीकृता पुनः ।
राजमार्गेषु सर्वत्र नाम विश्रावितं मया ।
।
॥५-५९-२२॥
Mayaiva nihatā laṅkā dagdhā bhasmīkṛtā punaḥ । Rājamārgeṣu sarvatra nāma viśrāvitaṃ mayā । । ॥5-59-22॥
Translation
I alone have killed the demons and burnt Lanka, turning it to ashes. Furthermore, I have proclaimed the name (of Lord Rama) everywhere on the royal highways.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैंने ही राक्षसों का वध किया और पूरी लंका को जलाकर पुनः भस्म कर दिया। तत्पश्चात मैंने नगर के सभी राजमार्गों पर (श्रीराम के नाम की) घोषणा कर दी।
English Commentary
In this verse, Hanuman summarizes his exploits to his Vanara companions. He recounts the destruction of the demons and the burning of Lanka. However, the highlight is his fearless proclamation of Rama's name on the main highways of the enemy city. This demonstrates Hanuman's absolute fearlessness and devotion. By stating he turned Lanka to ashes "again" (punah), it implies that Lanka was arguably already ruined by its own sins; Hanuman simply manifested that destruction physically. His actions were not driven by ego, but by the duty to fulfill his master's work and strike fear into the hearts of the unrighteous.

हनुमान जी यहाँ अपने वानर सखाओं को अपने पराक्रम का संक्षिप्त विवरण दे रहे हैं। वे लंका दहन और राक्षसों के संहार की बात करते हैं, लेकिन सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि उन्होंने शत्रु के गढ़ में घुसकर निर्भयतापूर्वक श्रीराम का जयघोष किया। यह श्लोक हनुमान जी के आत्मविश्वास और निर्भयता का परिचायक है। लंका को 'पुनः' भस्म करने का अर्थ है कि वह पहले से ही पाप से जली हुई थी, हनुमान जी ने केवल भौतिक रूप से उसे जलाया। उन्होंने अपनी शक्ति का प्रदर्शन केवल सीता जी की खोज और प्रभु राम के कार्य को सिद्ध करने के लिए किया, न कि स्वयं के अहंकार के लिए।
