अहं कोसलराजस्य दासः पवनसम्भवः ।
हनुमानिति सर्वत्र नाम विश्रावितं मया ।
।
॥५-५९-२४॥
Ahaṃ kosalarājasya dāsaḥ pavanasambhavaḥ । Hanumāniti sarvatra nāma viśrāvitaṃ mayā । । ॥5-59-24॥
Translation
"I am the servant of the King of Kosala (Rama) and the son of the Wind God"—in this manner, I proclaimed my name, Hanuman, everywhere.
हिंदी अनुवाद
"मैं कोसलराज (श्रीराम) का दास हूँ और पवनदेव का पुत्र हूँ"—इस प्रकार 'हनुमान' यह नाम मैंने सर्वत्र विख्यात कर दिया।
English Commentary
After proclaiming the victory of his lords, Hanuman identifies himself, but only in relation to them. He defines his identity primarily as Kosalarajasya Dasah—the servant of the King of Kosala. Only secondarily does he mention his lineage as the son of the Wind God. Proclaiming "I am Hanuman, servant of Rama" in the heart of Lanka was a direct challenge to Ravana’s ego. This verse highlights the essence of Dasyabhava Bhakti (devotion of servitude), where the devotee derives their entire identity and dignity from their relationship with the Lord.

पिछले श्लोक में स्वामियों की जयकार करने के बाद, अब हनुमान जी अपना परिचय देते हैं, किन्तु एक विशिष्ट मर्यादा में। वे अपना परिचय किसी स्वतंत्र योद्धा के रूप में नहीं, अपितु 'कोसलराजस्य दासः' (श्रीराम के दास) के रूप में देते हैं। उनके लिए उनकी सबसे बड़ी पहचान राम का सेवक होना है। इसके बाद वे अपनी उत्पत्ति (पवनपुत्र) बताते हैं। लंका में यह घोषणा करना कि 'मैं राम का दास हनुमान हूँ', रावण के अहंकार पर सीधा प्रहार था। यह भक्ति की पराकाष्ठा है जहाँ भक्त का अस्तित्व भगवान से ही परिभाषित होता है।
