राक्षसीभिः परिवृता शोकसन्तापकर्शिता ।
मेघलेखापरिवृता चन्द्रलेखेव निष्प्रभा ।
अचिन्तयन्ती वैदेही रावणं बलदर्पितम् ।

Rākṣasībhiḥ parivṛtā śokasantāpakarśitā । Meghalekhāparivṛtā candralekheva niṣprabhā । Acintayantī vaidehī rāvaṇaṃ baladarpitam । । ॥5-59-26॥
Translation
Surrounded by demonesses and emaciated by grief and torment, she appeared lackluster like a crescent moon obscured by clouds. Yet, Vaidehi (Sita) paid no heed whatsoever to Ravana, who was arrogant of his strength.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे राक्षसियों से घिरी हुई थीं और शोक तथा संताप से कृश (दुर्बल) हो गई थीं। बादलों की रेखा से घिरी हुई चंद्रमा की कला के समान वे कांतिहीन लग रही थीं। वे विदेहराज की पुत्री (सीता) अपने बल के अहंकार में चूर रावण की तनिक भी परवाह नहीं कर रही थीं।
English Commentary
This verse masterfully contrasts Sita's physical frailty with her inner resilience. Using the metaphor of the moon obscured by clouds, Hanuman conveys that her innate radiance remains, though currently veiled by sorrow. The phrase Acintayanti Ravanam is powerful; it implies she treated the mighty, arrogant Ravana with utter disregard/indifference. Despite being emaciated and surrounded by threats, her spiritual fortitude renders Ravana's power insignificant in her eyes. This is a testament to her unshakeable chastity and will.

इस श्लोक में सीता जी की बाह्य दुर्बलता और आंतरिक शक्ति का अद्भुत संगम है। उपमा अलंकार का प्रयोग करते हुए हनुमान जी कहते हैं कि सीता बादलों में छिपे चाँद जैसी थीं—अर्थात उनका तेज अभी भी है, बस दुख रूपी बादलों ने उसे ढक रखा है। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण पंक्ति है—'अचिन्तयन्ती... रावणं'। शारीरिक रूप से कमजोर होने के बावजूद, उनका मनोबल इतना ऊँचा है कि वे त्रिलोक विजयी रावण को तिनके के समान तुच्छ समझती हैं। यह भारतीय नारी के सतीत्व और आत्मबल का श्रेष्ठ उदाहरण है।
