वृता चन्द्रलेखेव निष्प्रभा ।
अनुरक्ता हि वैदेही रामं सर्वात्मना शुभा ।
अनन्यचित्ता रामे च पौलोमीव पुरन्दरे ।

Vṛtā candralekheva niṣprabhā । Anuraktā hi vaidehī rāmaṃ sarvātmanā śubhā । Ananyacittā rāme ca paulomīva purandare । । ॥5-59-28॥
Translation
Like a crescent moon surrounded (by clouds), she lacked luster. The auspicious Vaidehi is devoted to Rama with her entire soul. Her mind is fixed on Rama alone, just as Paulomi (Shachi) is devoted to Purandara (Indra).
हिंदी अनुवाद
(बादलों से) घिरी हुई चंद्रकला के समान वे प्रभावहीन थीं। वह कल्याणमयी वैदेही अपनी पूरी आत्मा से केवल श्रीराम में ही अनुरक्त थीं। जैसे शची इंद्र के प्रति समर्पित हैं, वैसे ही वे अनन्य चित्त से राम में ध्यान लगाए हुए थीं।
English Commentary
This verse focuses on the exclusivity and intensity of Sita’s devotion. The term Sarvatmana indicates that her whole being—mind, body, and soul—is absorbed in Rama. Ananyacitta means her mind allows no other thought; she is single-minded in her love. The comparison to Paulomi (Shachi) and Indra elevates her status to that of the Queen of the Gods, serving as a classical archetype of fidelity. Hanuman confirms that her physical dullness is merely external; internally, the fire of her devotion burns brighter than ever.

यहाँ सीता जी के प्रेम की गहराई का वर्णन है। 'सर्वात्मना' का अर्थ है कि उनका मन, बुद्धि और आत्मा—सब कुछ राममय हो चुका है। 'अनन्यचित्ता' का अर्थ है कि उनके चित्त में राम के सिवाय कोई दूसरा विचार ही नहीं है। हनुमान जी उनकी तुलना शची (इंद्र की पत्नी) से करते हैं, जो वैदिक साहित्य में पतिव्रता का मानक मानी जाती हैं। सीता जी का तेज (प्रभाव) बाह्य रूप से भले ही कम हो गया हो, परंतु उनका प्रेम और समर्पण दैवीय और अखंड है।
