अवप्लुत्य महा वेगः प्रहस्तस्य निवेशनम् ।
ततो अन्यत् पुप्लुवे वेश्म महा पार्श्वस्य वीर्यवान् ॥५-६-१७॥
Avaplutya mahā vegaḥ prahastasya niveśanam । Tato anyat pupluve veśma mahā pārśvasya vīryavān ॥ ॥5-6-17॥
Translation
Leaping down with great speed, the mighty one arrived at the mansion of Prahasta. From there, he leapt to another mansion, belonging to Mahaparshva.

महावेगशाली और वीर्यवान हनुमान उछलकर प्रहस्त के भवन पर गए। वहां से फिर वे महापार्श्व के दूसरे भवन पर कूदे।
English Commentary
Here begins the catalogue of specific residences Hanuman investigates. He starts with high-profile targets: Prahasta (Ravana's commander-in-chief) and Mahaparshva (a key general). The verbs avaplutya (leaping down) and pupluve (leaped) describe his movement—he is traversing the rooftops, utilizing his Vanara agility to bypass ground security. The descriptor mahā vegaḥ (great speed) implies he is moving too fast to be easily detected. By checking the homes of these powerful ministers, Hanuman shows strategic thinking; if Sita were a high-value prisoner, she might be kept in the custody of Ravana's most trusted lieutenants.
