आससाद अथ लक्ष्मीवान् राक्षस इन्द्र निवेशनम् ।
प्राकारेण अर्क वर्णेन भास्वरेण अभिसम्वृतम् ॥५-६-२॥
āsasāda atha lakṣmīvān rākṣasa indra niveśanam |
prākāreṇa arka varṇena bhāsvareṇa abhisamvṛtam ॥5-6-2॥
Translation
Then, the glorious (Hanuman) approached the abode of the King of Rakshasas, which was surrounded by a shining wall that possessed the brilliance of the sun.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, उन शोभायमान (लक्ष्मीवान) हनुमान जी ने राक्षसराज रावण के उस भवन (निवेशन) के पास अमिगमन किया, जो सूर्य के समान वर्ण वाले (अर्क वर्णेन) और चमकते हुए परकोटे (प्राकार) से घिरा हुआ था।
English Commentary
Hanuman now targets the core of the citadel: Ravana's personal residence. He is described as 'lakṣmīvān' (endowed with splendour/fortune), suggesting a renewed sense of purpose. The wall surrounding Ravana's abode is described as having the 'color of the sun' (gold/copper) and being 'bhāsvara' (radiant). This indicates both opulence and the intimidating nature of the barrier. The solar imagery used for the wall contrasts with the lunar imagery often associated with the night, highlighting that Ravana's abode shines with its own artificial daylight, symbolizing his unnatural power.

अब हनुमान जी रावण के निजी निवास ('राक्षसेन्द्र निवेशनम्') की ओर बढ़ते हैं। हनुमान जी को 'लक्ष्मीवान' (शोभा संपन्न) कहा गया है, जो उनके आत्मविश्वास की वापसी का संकेत है। भवन का परकोटा 'अर्क वर्णेन' (सूर्य के रंग जैसा, संभवतः स्वर्ण निर्मित) और 'भास्वरेण' (चमकदार) है। यह रावण के निवास की भव्यता और सुरक्षा को दर्शाता है। दीवार की चमक इतनी थी कि वह रात में भी सूर्य जैसी आभा बिखेर रही थी। हनुमान जी अब सामान्य लंका से निकलकर सत्ता के केंद्र (Power Center) की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं।
