हेमजालैरविच्छिन्नास्तरुणादित्यसंनिभाः ।
ददर्श राक्षसेन्द्रस्य रावणस्य निवेशने ॥ ॥५-६-३५॥
Hemajālairavicchinnāstaruṇādityasaṃnibhāḥ । Dadarśa rākṣasendrasya rāvaṇasya niveśane ॥ ॥5-6-35॥
Translation
In the residence of Ravana, the Lord of Rakshasas, he saw them (the armies/chariots) covered with gold lattice-work, shining like the rising sun.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हनुमान जी ने राक्षसराज रावण के भवन में सोने की जालियों से ढकी हुई और बाल-सूर्य (प्रातःकालीन सूर्य) के समान चमकती हुई उन (वाहिनियों/सेनाओं) को देखा।
English Commentary
The focus returns to the overwhelming presence of gold. The objects or military formations within Ravana’s palace were covered in intricate gold lattice work ('hemajala'). Their brilliance is compared to the 'young sun' (the rising sun), suggesting a radiant, reddish-gold hue indicative of high purity. This verse reinforces the legend of the "Golden Lanka." Even though Hanuman is viewing this at night, the radiance of the gold creates an aura of daylight, emphasizing the supernatural splendor of the Rakshasa King's abode.

यहाँ पुनः स्वर्ण के प्रयोग पर जोर दिया गया है। रावण के भवन में रखी गई वस्तुएं या वहां उपस्थित सैन्य दल सोने की जालियों (हेमजाल) से सुसज्जित थे। उनकी चमक की तुलना 'तरुण आदित्य' (उगते हुए सूर्य) से की गई है, जो यह बताता है कि वह सोना अत्यंत शुद्ध और तेजस्वी था। यह श्लोक लंका के 'स्वर्णमयी' होने की ख्याति को पुष्ट करता है। हनुमान जी रात्रि के समय यह सब देख रहे हैं, फिर भी वहां की आभा सूर्य के समान प्रतीत हो रही है।
