धीरनिष्ठितकर्मान्तं गृहं भूतपतेरिव ।
अर्चिर्भिश्चापि रत्नानां तेजसा रावणस्य च ॥ ॥५-६-४०॥
Dhīraniṣṭhitakarmāntaṃ gṛhaṃ bhūtapateriva । Arcirbhiścāpi ratnānāṃ tejasā rāvaṇasya ca ॥ ॥5-6-40॥
Translation
That house was constructed by steady and skilled artisans, resembling the abode of the Lord of Beings (Shiva/Kubera). It was glowing with the rays of gems and the splendor of Ravana himself.

वह भवन धैर्यवान और कुशल शिल्पियों द्वारा निर्मित था, और भूतपति (शिव या कुबेर) के भवन जैसा प्रतीत होता था। वह रत्नों की किरणों और रावण के तेज से चमक रहा था।
English Commentary
'Dhira-nishthita-karmantam' implies the construction was finished with great patience and steadiness, indicating high-quality craftsmanship and architectural stability. The comparison 'Bhutapateriva' aligns the palace with the abode of the Lord of Beings (likely Shiva, Ravana’s deity, or Kubera), suggesting a supernatural aura. The illumination of the palace came from two sources: the physical refraction of light from the gems and the metaphysical 'Tejas' (splendor/power) of Ravana himself. This highlights that the building was an extension of Ravana’s own powerful persona.
