विरराजाथ तद्वेश्म रश्मिमानिव रश्मिभिः ।
जाम्बूनदमयान्येव शयनान्यासनानि च ॥ ॥५-६-४१॥
Virarājātha tadveśma raśmimāniva raśmibhiḥ । Jāmbūnadamayānyeva śayanānyāsanāni ca ॥ ॥5-6-41॥
Translation
That house then shone like the sun with its rays. The beds and the seats there were made exclusively of Jambunada gold.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब वह भवन सूर्य की तरह अपनी किरणों से सुशोभित हो रहा था। वहां के शयन (बिस्तर) और आसन (कुर्सियां/सिंहासन) विशुद्ध जाम्बूनद सोने के ही बने हुए थे।
English Commentary
The brilliance of the palace was such that it shone like the sun ('Rashmiman') itself. The verse details the furniture: 'shayanani' (beds) and 'asanani' (seats). Valmiki specifically cites 'Jambunada' gold, mythologically the highest quality gold found in the Jambu river. This emphasizes that even utility items for sleeping and sitting were not made of wood or common metals, but of the finest gold, indicating an lifestyle of absolute, uncompromised luxury.
