तेष्वेवं हतवीरेषु राक्षसेषु हनूमता ।
किमन्यदत्र कर्तव्यं गृहीत्वा याम जानकीम् ।

teṣvevaṃ hatavīreṣu rākṣaseṣu hanūmatā । kimanyadatra kartavyaṃ gṛhītvā yāma jānakīm । । ॥5-60-5॥
Translation
The heroic Rakshasas there have already been killed by Hanuman. What else is there to be done? Let us take Janaki and depart.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहां के शूरवीर राक्षसों को हनुमान ने पहले ही मार डाला है। अब वहां (लंका में) और क्या करना शेष है? बस जानकी को साथ लेकर हम चलें।
English Commentary
Angada argues that the heavy lifting has already been done by Hanuman. Since the elite defenders of Lanka have been slain, he views the city as vulnerable. He simplifies the complex situation into a simple retrieval mission: "Take Janaki and go." This underestimates Ravana (who is still alive) and Indrajit, but it shows Angada's immense faith in Hanuman's preliminary strike. He believes waiting for Rama is an unnecessary delay.

अंगद का तर्क है कि हनुमान ने "अक्षय कुमार" सहित लंका के प्रमुख रक्षकों को मारकर काम आसान कर दिया है। लंका अब कमजोर हो चुकी है। अंगद को लगता है कि "लोहा गरम है, चोट मार देनी चाहिए"। वे कहते हैं कि अब युद्ध की औपचारिकता शेष नहीं है, बस जाकर सीता जी को सम्मान सहित ले आना है। यह उनकी युवा सोच और आक्रामकता को दर्शाता है, जो जाम्बवान की परिपक्वता से भिन्न है।
