Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ते तद्वनमुपागम्य बभूवुः परमोत्कटाः ।
वानरा वानरेन्द्रस्य मनः कान्ततमं महत् ।
।
॥५-६१-१०॥
te tadvanamupāgamya babhūvuḥ paramotkaṭāḥ । vānarā vānarendrasya manaḥ kāntatamaṃ mahat । । ॥5-61-10॥
Translation
Having reached that vast forest which was exceedingly dear to the Vanara King, those monkeys became extremely excited (and unruly).
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरराज (सुग्रीव) के उस अत्यंत प्रिय और विशाल वन में पहुँचकर वे वानर अत्यंत उत्कट (उन्मत्त/उतावले) हो गए।
English Commentary
The temptation becomes overwhelming. Upon entering the King's favorite (Kantatamam) sanctuary, the Vanaras become Paramotkatah (excessively haughty/excited). This word suggests a loss of inhibition. The juxtaposition of the forest being dear to the King and the Vanaras' rising unruliness signals the imminent breach of protocol. It acts as a release valve for the pent-up pressure of their mission.

संयम का बांध टूट रहा है। 'परमोत्कटाः' का अर्थ है कि उनका उत्साह सीमा पार कर रहा है। महीनों का तनाव, थकान और अब सफलता की खुशी—इन सबने मिलकर उन्हें उन्मत्त कर दिया है। वे जानते हैं कि यह वन राजा को 'कान्ततमं' (सबसे अधिक प्रिय) है, फिर भी उनका आत्म-नियंत्रण छूट रहा है। यह दृश्य मनोवैज्ञानिक रूप से यथार्थ है—बड़े तनाव के बाद बड़ी राहत अक्सर अनुशासनहीनता लाती है।
