ततः कुमारस्तान् वृद्धाञ्जाम्बवत्प्रमुखान् कपीन् ।
अनुमान्य ददौ तेषां निसर्गं मधुभक्षणे ।

tataḥ kumārastān vṛddhāñjāmbavatpramukhān kapīn । anumānya dadau teṣāṃ nisargaṃ madhubhakṣaṇe । । ॥5-61-12॥
Translation
Then the Prince (Angada), having taken the consent of the elders led by Jambavan, gave them permission to partake of the honey.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब कुमार (अंगद) ने जाम्बवान आदि प्रमुख वृद्ध वानरों से अनुमति लेकर (सलाह करके), उन वानरों को मधु खाने (पीने) की छूट दे दी।
English Commentary
Angada demonstrates excellent leadership qualities. Before granting the request, he consults the "cabinet" of elders led by Jambavan. This ensures that the decision to break the law (eat the King's honey) is a collective leadership decision, sanctioned by wisdom (Vriddhan) as a reward for the troops. It validates the merit-reward system: extraordinary service merits extraordinary rewards, even if it means bending the rules.

अंगद एक जिम्मेदार भावी राजा की तरह व्यवहार करते हैं। यद्यपि वे नेता हैं, वे वयोवृद्ध जाम्बवान की अनदेखी नहीं करते। वे बड़ों से 'अनुमान्य' (अनुमति/सहमति) लेते हैं। जाम्बवान और अन्य वृद्ध भी जानते हैं कि सेना ने बहुत कष्ट सहा है और बड़ी विजय प्राप्त की है, इसलिए वे इस उत्सव को नहीं रोकते। 'निसर्गं' का अर्थ है पूर्ण छूट या अनुमति। यह निर्णय पूरी तरह से लोकतांत्रिक और पदानुक्रम (hierarchy) के सम्मान के साथ लिया गया।
