Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
मध्ये चैषां दधिमुखः प्रगृह्य तरसा तरुम् ।
समभ्यधावद्वेगेन ते च सर्वे प्लवङ्गमाः ।
।
॥५-६२-२१॥
Madhye caiṣāṃ dadhimukhaḥ pragṛhya tarasā tarum । Samabhyadhāvadvegena te ca sarve plavaṅgamāḥ । । ॥5-62-21॥
Translation
In their midst, Dadhimukha, having grabbed a tree with force, charged speedily, accompanied by all those monkeys.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उनके बीच में (नेतृत्व करते हुए) दधिमुख ने क्रोध और वेग से एक वृक्ष उखाड़ लिया और वह उन सभी वानरों के साथ तेजी से दौड़ा।
English Commentary
Dadhimukha leads by example, positioning himself in the midst of his troops rather than commanding from the rear. Grabbing a tree—a standard weapon in Vanara warfare—he charges with speed (vegena). This visualizes the intensity of his resolve to protect the royal grove. The verse builds tension as the organized force of guards rushes to collide with the celebratory chaos of Angada's group.

दधिमुख कायरता से पीछे रहकर आदेश देने वाला नेता नहीं है, बल्कि वह स्वयं "मध्ये चैषां" (उनके बीच में) रहकर आक्रमण का नेतृत्व कर रहा है। वानरों के युद्ध में वृक्ष और पत्थर ही मुख्य अस्त्र होते हैं, इसलिए उसने एक वृक्ष उखाड़ लिया। "समभ्यधावत्" (दौड़ा/आक्रमण किया) शब्द उसकी आक्रामकता को दर्शाता है। वह पूरी गति से अंगद की सेना की ओर बढ़ा। यह दृश्य एक आसन्न संघर्ष का संकेत है जहाँ अनुशासन के रक्षक और विजय के उन्माद में डूबे वानर आमने-सामने होंगे।
