Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ते शिलाः पादपांश्चापि पर्वतांश्चापि वानराः ।
गृहीत्वा ऽभ्यगमन् क्रुद्धा यत्र ते कपिकुञ्जराः ।
।
॥५-६२-२२॥
Te śilāḥ pādapāṃścāpi parvatāṃścāpi vānarāḥ । Gṛhītvā 'bhyagaman kruddhā yatra te kapikuñjarāḥ । । ॥5-62-22॥
Translation
Those angry monkeys (guards) took up rocks, trees, and even mountain peaks, and went to the place where those elephant-like (mighty) monkeys were stationed.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे क्रुद्ध वानर (रक्षक) शिलाओं, वृक्षों और पर्वतों (चट्टानों) को लेकर वहां पहुंचे जहां वे कपि-श्रेष्ठ (हनुमान, अंगद आदि) विराजमान थे।
English Commentary
The guards arm themselves with the arsenal of nature: śilāḥ (rocks), pādapān (trees), and parvatān (mountain peaks/large boulders). Fueled by anger, they approach the location of the kapikuñjarāḥ (elephants among monkeys, referring to Angada's elites). The contrast is set between the angry guards defending their duty and the mighty search party enjoying their well-earned rest. It signifies the escalation from verbal dispute to armed conflict.

इस श्लोक में संघर्ष की तैयारी का वर्णन है। रक्षक दल पूरी तरह से हथियारों से लैस होकर आया है। वानरों के सन्दर्भ में 'पर्वत' का अर्थ विशाल चट्टानें हैं। वे 'क्रुद्ध' हैं अर्थात अपमान का बदला लेने को आतुर हैं। वे वहां पहुँचते हैं जहाँ 'कविकुञ्जराः' (हाथी समान विशाल वानर अर्थात अंगद दल) मौजूद हैं। यहाँ दोनों पक्षों के लिए वानर-विशेषणों का प्रयोग किया गया है, जो यह दर्शाता है कि यह लड़ाई बराबरी की नहीं, बल्कि संख्या और शक्ति के बीच है।
