ते स्वामिवचनं वीरा हृदयेष्ववसज्य तत् ।
त्वरया ह्यभ्यधावन्त सालतालशिलायुधाः ।
।
॥५-६२-२३॥
Te svāmivacanaṃ vīrā hṛdayeṣvavasajya tat । Tvarayā hyabhyadhāvanta sālatālaśilāyudhāḥ । । ॥5-62-23॥
Translation
Keeping their master's words firmly in their hearts, those heroes charged swiftly, armed with Sala trees, Tala trees, and rocks.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे वीर अपने स्वामी (दधिमुख) के वचनों को हृदय में धारण करके, साल और ताल के वृक्ष तथा शिलाओं को आयुध बनाकर तेजी से दौड़े।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the intense loyalty of the guards. Despite the overwhelming odds, they charge because they have taken their master's command to heart (hṛdayeṣvavasajya). They are armed with specific trees (Sala and Tala) and rocks. The focus here is on the motivation of the soldiers: they are not fighting for personal gain, but out of obedience and duty to Dadhimukha and, by extension, King Sugriva.

यहाँ रक्षकों की स्वामी-भक्ति (Loyalty) पर जोर दिया गया है। वे जानते हैं कि अंगद और हनुमान से लड़ना मृत्यु को निमंत्रण देने जैसा है, फिर भी "स्वामिवचनं हृदयेष्ववसज्य" (स्वामी के वचनों को दिल में रखकर) वे आक्रमण करते हैं। उन्होंने 'साल' और 'ताल' के वृक्षों को हथियार बनाया है। यह श्लोक यह स्पष्ट करता है कि यह लड़ाई व्यक्तिगत द्वेष से अधिक कर्तव्य पालन के लिए लड़ी जा रही थी। दधिमुख के प्रति उनका समर्पण प्रशंसनीय है।
