एते तिष्ठन्तु गच्छामो भर्ता नो यत्र वानरः ।
सुग्रीवो विपुलग्रीवः सह रामेण तिष्ठति ।
।
॥५-६२-३१॥
Ete tiṣṭhantu gacchāmo bhartā no yatra vānaraḥ । Sugrīvo vipulagrīvaḥ saha rāmeṇa tiṣṭhati । । ॥5-62-31॥
Translation
"Let these monkeys stay here. We shall go to where our master, the monkey king Sugriva with the thick neck, is staying along with Rama."

"इन्हें यहीं रहने दो। हम वहां चलते हैं जहां हमारे स्वामी, विशाल गर्दन वाले वानरराज सुग्रीव, श्रीराम के साथ विराजमान हैं।"
English Commentary
Dadhimukha decides to abandon the grove to the looters for the time being and seek justice from the supreme authority. By saying "Let them stay," he implies that their entrapment is now legal rather than physical. He identifies his destination specifically as where Sugriva is with Rama. The mention of Rama adds gravity to the situation; disturbing the King while he is in council with the divine prince implies that Dadhimukha views this trespass as a crime of the highest order, requiring immediate royal and divine attention.

दधिमुख अपने सैनिकों को आदेश देता है कि वे अब मधुवन की रक्षा का प्रयास छोड़ दें। "एते तिष्ठन्तु" (इन्हें रहने दो) में एक धमकी छिपी है—कि अब इनका फैसला राजा करेंगे। वह सुग्रीव के पास जाने का निर्णय लेता है। सुग्रीव के लिए "विपुलग्रीवः" (विशाल गर्दन वाला) विशेषण उनकी शक्ति और राजसी भव्यता का प्रतीक है। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि सुग्रीव "रामेण सह" (राम के साथ) हैं। दधिमुख जानता है कि राम की उपस्थिति में अनुशासनहीनता का दंड और भी कठोर होगा।
