अङ्गदस्य मुखाच्छ्रुत्वा वचनं वानरर्षभाः ।
साधु साध्विति संहृष्टा वानराः प्रत्यपूजयन् ।
।
॥५-६२-४॥
aṅgadasya mukhācchrutvā vacanaṃ vānararṣabhāḥ । sādhu sādhviti saṃhṛṣṭā vānarāḥ pratyapūjayan । । ॥5-62-4॥
Translation
Hearing the words (of permission) from the mouth of Angada, those excellent Vanaras became overjoyed and honored him, exclaiming "Sadhu! Sadhu!" (Excellent! Excellent!).
हिंदी अनुवाद
युवराज अंगद के मुख से (मधुवन में प्रवेश करने और मधु पीने की अनुमति के) वचन सुनकर, वे वानरश्रेष्ठ अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए और "साधु! साधु!" (बहुत उत्तम! बहुत उत्तम!) कहते हुए उनका अभिनन्दन करने लगे।
English Commentary
This verse captures the jubilant atmosphere among the Vanara army and their deep respect for their leader, Crown Prince Angada. After the arduous and high-stakes mission to find Sita, the monkeys are relieved and eager for celebration. When Angada grants them permission to enter the protected Madhuvana, they respond with the traditional exclamation of praise, "Sadhu! Sadhu!" This highlights the camaraderie within the troop and establishes Angada's authority. The permission serves as a reward for their success, breaking the strict discipline they had maintained throughout the search.
