Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ते प्रविष्टा मधुवनं पालानाक्रम्य वीर्यतः ।
।
॥५-६२-६॥
te praviṣṭā madhuvanaṃ pālānanākramya vīryataḥ । । ॥5-62-6॥
Translation
They entered the Madhuvana and, overpowering the guards with their prowess, forced their way in.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्होंने मधुवन में प्रवेश किया और वहां के रक्षकों (वनपालों) को अपने पराक्रम से दबाकर (आक्रमण करके) भीतर घुस गए।
English Commentary
This line indicates that Madhuvana was a heavily guarded royal preserve. The Vanaras did not enter quietly; they used their viryatah (prowess/strength) to overpower the guards. This aggressive entry signals a shift in their behavior from disciplined searchers to triumphant warriors who believe they have earned the right to celebrate. The act of overpowering the guards sets the stage for the conflict that will follow with Dadhimukha, the keeper of the forest, but it primarily highlights the Vanaras' overwhelming enthusiasm and loss of restraint.

यह अर्द्ध-श्लोक स्पष्ट करता है कि मधुवन कोई साधारण वन नहीं था, बल्कि एक संरक्षित क्षेत्र था जिसके रक्षक वहां तैनात थे। वानरों ने प्रवेश करते समय नियमों की परवाह नहीं की। 'वीर्यतः' शब्द इंगित करता है कि उन्होंने बलपूर्वक रक्षकों को हटाया। यह व्यवहार सामान्यतः उद्दंडता माना जाता, परन्तु यहाँ यह उनकी विजय के मद और सीता जी की खोज की सफलता से उत्पन्न आत्मविश्वास का परिणाम है। वे जानते हैं कि उन्होंने जो कार्य किया है (सीता की खोज), उसके सामने यह उल्लंघन क्षम्य है।
