अतिसर्गाच्च पटवो दृष्ट्वा श्रुत्वा च मैथिलीम् ।
पपुः सर्वे मधु तदा रसवत् फलमाददुः ।
।
॥५-६२-७॥
atisargācca paṭavo dṛṣṭvā śrutvā ca maithilīm । papuḥ sarve madhu tadā rasavat phalamādaduḥ । । ॥5-62-7॥
Translation
Being capable and having received permission, and emboldened by having seen and heard about Maithili (Sita), they all drank honey and plucked juicy fruits.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(अंगद द्वारा) अनुमति मिल जाने के कारण और मैथिली (सीता) के दर्शन तथा उनके समाचार को सुनकर उत्साहित वे समर्थ वानर मधु पीने लगे और रसीले फल खाने लगे।
English Commentary
This verse explicitly connects the celebration to its cause: the successful discovery of Sita (dṛṣṭvā śrutvā ca maithilīm). It clarifies that their actions are driven by relief and triumph. इस श्लोक में उत्सव के मूल कारण को दोहराया गया है—'दृष्ट्वा श्रुत्वा च मैथिलीम्' (मैथिली को देखकर और सुनकर)। वानरों का यह उन्मुक्त व्यवहार केवल भूख या प्यास के कारण नहीं है, बल्कि यह उस मानसिक भार के उतरने का परिणाम है जो सीता की खोज के दौरान उन पर था। हनुमान जी ने सीता को देखा था और बाकी सबने यह समाचार सुना था। इस सफलता ने उन्हें 'पटवो' (दक्ष/समर्थ) और साहसी बना दिया था, जिससे वे निर्भय होकर सुग्रीव के संरक्षित वन का भोग कर रहे थे।
